Colourful Castro
Castro is one of San Francisco’s most iconic neighborhoods, known for its rich history and vibrant culture. After World War II, many veterans and newcomers arrived in the area, contributing to the development of Castro as a gathering place for the LGBTQ+ community. In the 1960s and 1970s, with the activism of Harvey Milk, it became a hub for social change and a symbol of freedom and equality.
Today, Castro continues to celebrate diversity and inclusivity with its colorful streets, historic Castro Theatre, and community events, making it a perfect place to capture moments of history and self-expression.
